| 2011 Documents-not uploaded.
Just to many different agencies with different planning processes and
literally hundreds of thousands of pages reflecting studies and planning
how to REVISE the Delta for the purpose of more water export, with
mitigation a requirement due to the planned revisions. |
June 2011: By now its clear to
everyone in the Delta that there have been years of planning and
document production completed without effective Delta landowner input,
and with intentional and specific Delta landowner exclusion. The
"stakeholders" are always people who's primary interest is the export of
water and how to minimize impacts to fish or the ecological function of
the Delta...impacts to the humans who own, live, work or play in the
Delta does not seem to be of anyone's concern, so Delta landowners are
starting to speak up. The problem is, there are so many different
sections of the "central canal" or CALFED "preferred alternative" that
are all built or ready to build as "shovel ready projects", approved as regional projects, that its hard
to know where to spend effort and speak up. And that's how it was
planned. However, as John Steinbeck said "The best laid plans of
mice and men do often go astray"....
2011 documents that we have the time to upload are listed by the
different agencies. However, to get the FULL picture of what is
going on, we suggest you go to the particular agency website and review
all of their documents. PLEASE NOTE: Most of the
documents and studies showing up in 2011 were written in 2005-2008, and
then held to be unleashed on Delta folks all at the same time (personal
opinion). Something else to note: The Central Canal is
almost built per DWR documents. The DRMS Phase 2 documents make it
clear the goal is to take 15,000 cubic feet per second from the
Sacramento River. But what happens when the Sacramento River flow
is less than 15,000 cfs?

DRMS Phase 2
documents.
URS, DWR never corrected all the mistakes in DRMS Phase 1, and just
moved on, ignoring the Phase 2 proposals are based on false data.
Guess the government/URS and the other consultants who developed the
DRMS series is comfortable with the litigation that will result from
knowingly using false data?
The conveyance proposals appear to focus on a 15,000 cfs canal diverting
Sacramento River Water to export pumps. Since Sacramento River
waterfow in the Delta can go below 10,000 in dry years and during summer
and fall, what happens to the Delta farms? |

few of the documents and maps here, but since this particular
organizations keeps changing documents, maps, scientists, etc, we

very imporant year for the eir/eis process and you should consider
making comments if you care about the Delta! |

Delta Stewardship Council
The DSC is the group of appointed council members that are charged by CA
legislature to make decision regarding the future of the Delta...not a
soul on the council to protect Delta landowner, Delta towns, Delta
businesses, long term Delta residents. "If you're not at the
table, most likely you're what's for dinner". We've heard the
sying many times...Briar Rabbit, Wile Coyote to name a few. Who
would guess cartoons of last century would be prophetic for the Delta in
the 21st Century? |
